Court Ruling Clarifies Dismissal for Workplace Violence

I would like to share an interesting article with my readers, (click here) regarding a recent Ontario Court of Appeals ruling which upheld a just cause dismissal for workplace violence.

What makes this case interesting is that the dismissed employee did not actually commit an act of violence, he only threatened to. The courts found that the threats, and his past behaviour, were justified reasons for termination of employment.
