As this year is the last “illegal” 420 rally day, it brings about the question – Is your workplace ready for Cannabis? An awkward topic, for sure, but one that needs to “come out of the closet” and be addressed in the main stream.
Workplaces all across Canada are going to be struggling with how to implement their policies on Cannabis. Note should be made that consumption of Cannabis will be more restricted than tobacco and “e-cigs”, and the Smoke Free Ontario Act was updated in December 2017 to include cannabis use.
Testing for drugs in a workplace is still a very complex issue and under most circumstances is not permitted. Make sure you are ready!
