The Minimum Wage payable to employees in Ontario will increase on October 1, 2022. There are different minimum wages for specific types of employees (such as students who are under 18 and homeworkers) but for most workers, the new rate will be $15.50 per hour.
There is no longer a reduced minimum wage for persons who work as food/beverage servers regardless of whether they sell alcohol or receive tips for their work.
